Theme for this weeks topic:

The theme leading up to this week's topic is to become aware of the transformation of energies. Notice that everywhere around us energies are constantly being transformed.

This can be from one kind of energy to another (the chemical energy of gasoline is converted to heat and then to motion).

Or it can be from one level to another (a transformer changes the 12,000 volt distribution voltage to 120 volt household voltage)

Exercise for the week:

The exercise for this week is to practice blending thought energy, feeling energy and sensation energy. Begin by envoking sensation in the right hand, feeling energy in the chest and thought energy in the head. Then blend the feeling and thought energy with the sensation in the right hand.

Then blend all three energies in the chest region. And then finally do this blending in the head.

Session 10: Energies
March 10

Divisions of Energies

...In looking at this scheme we have to be careful not to think that we have twelve distinct things described in it. Energies are not like bodies and they are not separated and distinguished as bodies are. It is better to think of the scale as a series of gradations so that each energy merges into the next. Every level of energy is organized by the level above and disorganized by the level below. This is how we can recognize their difference.

Within any one level of energy there can be many different kinds. For example, thought, feeling, and sensation are all on the same level of energy but they operate from different centers and produce different results in us. The energies we meet with in practical situations are always a blend of different energies, and we can never deal with any one energy in a pure, isolated form...
